As many of you know, we’re in the height of kitten season right now. That means the shelters are overflowing with cats and kittens who need homes. Orange County Animal Services is waiving all cat and kitten adoption fees (one per household) for the entire month of May! Each cat will be spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
We spent Mother’s Day taking photos of cats and kittens, and unfortunately we weren’t even able to photograph them all. Most of the little ones we photographed are about 1 month old and/or under 2 pounds, which means they’re too small to have spay/neuter surgery and must be fostered by an Orange County resident before they can be adopted.
If you’re interested in helping save lives, OCAS is holding its next foster parent orientation on May 22 (more info here).
Even though it’s kitten season, don’t forget about all of the wonderful adult cats who need homes, too. Now’s the perfect time to add a new member to the family!
