Hi everyone! I’m excited to announce that I’ll be working with the wonderful folks over at DARE (Dachshund Adoption Rescue & Education) on an upcoming fundraiser!
Here’s a little background on DARE ~
DARE is a Florida-based dachshund rescue group, and I’ve selected them as my featured rescue for the months of March and April. That means that I will donate 10% of the proceeds of all sales during these two months to DARE.
March is also Senior Month for DARE, and they’ll be highlighting their older dogs that are available for adoption. There’s precious little that’s more rewarding than opening your heart and home to a senior pet!
Upcoming events and ways you can help ~
On May 7, DARE is having a bingo night in Ybor City to raise funds, and I’m donating a custom pet portrait for their raffle!
I did this custom portrait for Forrest Gump (aka The Gump), DARE’s unofficial mascot. He’s a bit of a celebrity and even has his own Facebook page. You can find out more about the Bingo Night here, and if you’re in the area, I hope you’ll come out and purchase a raffle ticket to benefit DARE and a chance to win a custom portrait of your pet.
DARE is also in the running for a $1000 donation from SunState Federal Credit Union. If you’re on Facebook, you can vote here to help DARE win and help pay for the expensive vetting the foster doxies need!
On April 6, you can meet The Gump in person at the Meet & Greet at Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming in Lake Nona. I’m planning to be there, and you can see some of my art in person. I’ll also have a few little goodies for sale, and I’ll be donating a portion of the proceeds from that to DARE, as well. Hope to see you there!
